Buyback and Recylce

With the move to the Trimester, new Michigan Department of Education standards and the typical summer cleaning/updating – we have stacks and stacks of older textbooks that will be gone very soon. Many of the new books are better suited for the current benchmarks/standards and for the 70 minutes, for 120 days format vs. the 90 minutes for 90 days schedule.

We have contacted several companies that “buyback” used textbooks and hope to get some revenue from our outgoing books. Any books not sold back will be recycled.

The staff reviewed and recommended the options in the spring, we have authorized the purchase orders and the Board of Education will be adopting several new textbooks this summer in preparation for the fall.
