5 weeks and counting….

I’m not trying to alarm anyone…. but as of today we are 5 weeks away from the first day of school. Time to get busy on your summer reading list, finish off the vacations and start the back to school planning.
A quick reminder – unlike recent years, Open House Nights will be held prior to the first day of school for all first through 12 grade buildings. We are using this format to give parents and students a chance to actually meet their teacher in their new room prior to the first day of school. I am anxious to get your feedback on the new format.

It seems we will have to choose between Middle School and Heritage for our children. Why isn’t there a separate day for these grades as with the others? We have a 6th grader and 8th grader and I am sure (know) we are not the only ones with a two year spread as this.
They are both the same date, bit the times are staggered to allow families with students in both schools to attend each open house. The Heritage Open House will run from 5:30-7:00pm and the Middle School Open House will run from 6:30-8:15pm. This allows families to attend Heritage first and then go to the Middle School.
Information on start times will be coming from each building.
