Foundation for Saline Area Schools

I had the opportunity to attend a conference on School Foundations sponsored by the Michigan Association of School Boards. I was joined by School Board President Lisa Slawson, Foundation for Saline Area Schools President Lou Candiotti, Vice President Deb Brow, Foundation Trustees Christine Faeth, Cheryl Hoeft and Jay Jahnke.

The conference provided us with excellent information on current trends in school foundations. The timing could not have been better as the Foundation for Saline Area Schools is presently in a strategic planning process. Our foundation has been around for almost 20 years, but it seems to have a renewed energy to develop increased opportunities to enhance the educational programs for our students here in Saline.
